The Good Governance Program is premised on fostering systemic change. Change at the Legal, Institutional and Policy level. In the 2017-2021 strategic plan, focus will be on changes in legal, policy and institutional frameworks to strengthen systems that support good governance and anti-corruption. This is and will continue being done through research, advocacy and lobbying, submissions on institutional, legal and policy reforms, capacity building, stakeholder engagements a well as networking and collaboration. The idea is to effect change on a number of topical governance issues. Among the key strategies under good governance, TIZ will engage in nationwide research such as the Zambia Bribe Payers Index which provides insight into the governance and corruption situation in the country and subsequently informs interventions. Other than continuing to make submissions on policy legal and institutional reforms, TIZ will also engage in advocacy and campaigns on topical governance issues such as the bill of rights, Access to Information law.
