Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z) is elated to announce the appointment, by the Transparency International Board, of Mr. Rueben Lifuka as the new Chairperson of the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) Council.
Mr. Lifuka, a long-serving Member of TI-Z, has distinguished himself over the years as a passionate anti-corruption and good governance activist, and TI-Z has no doubt that the IACC Council will benefit from his wealth of experience in the anti-corruption and good governance arena.
The IACC is the world’s leading anti-corruption platform and convenes every two years in different parts of the globe to advance the anti-corruption agenda by raising awareness and stimulating debate, through the fostering of networking, cross-fertilization and the global exchange of experience that are indispensable for effective advocacy and action, on a global and national level.
The last IACC forum took place in Washington DC in December 2022, and the next one is scheduled for the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, next year.
Mr. Lifuka, who is currently also Vice Chair of the Transparency International Board of Directors, will serve as IACC Council Chair for the next 5 years, and TI-Z wishes him all the very best as he continues to fly the Zambia flag high at global level.
