Anti-Corruption Hackathon
TI-Z IT Officer, Hamulilo Moses Handia, and his team recently won a hackathon called HackCorruption, a hybrid Tech4Good event supported by the U.S. Department of State aimed at bringing people together to co-create anti-corruption solutions. HackCorruption, a people powered hackathon to unearth anti-corruption solutions, announced its winners at the inaugural event in Johannesburg, South Africa, with Handia and his teammates from Kenya, Namibia and South Africa in attendance. Handia and his winning team proposed a solution that would tackle the problem of corruption in public procurement, and named their innovative application ‘Citizen Watch’.
